Pre & Post Waxing Tips

Waxing is a hair removal method that both men and women get done on a regular basis. Common areas to wax include the facial areas such as the brows, lip and chin, as well as bodily areas like the legs, arms, armpits and bikini area. With most waxing procedures comes a certain amount of irritation, such as redness and swelling. A few helpful tips done before and after waxing can ease this irritation to a minimal amount.

Prior to your wax appointment, you can take an over the counter pain reliever; Ibuprofen is a good choice. If you are extremely sensitive to waxing then you can even apply a topical anesthetic. I recommend No Scream Cream, which contains an ingredient called benzocaine, to help numb the area to be waxed.

After your wax session, to help soothe your skin from further inflammation, I suggest using Get the Bump Outta Here, which is also made by No Scream Cream. If you’re one of those that experience ingrown hairs after waxing, I suggest trying Bliss Ingrown Hair Eliminating Pads.
